We work from our office at 7700 Preston Road in Frisco and cover homes and businesses in fourteen towns across Collin, Denton and Grayson counties. Roof repair, full replacement, hail and wind damage, gutters, siding, windows and fences: the same services reach every town on this page.
Permit rules for roofing and exterior work differ from one city to the next, and the differences decide how a job runs. Each town below carries one worth knowing, taken from the city’s own website.
The city publishes a Registered Contractors Listing, so you can check a roofer before you sign.
Read MoreThe city’s permit list names windows, fences and patio covers individually, all things a hailstorm often damages.
Read MoreThe city adopted the 2021 International Building Codes, with local amendments, on July 1, 2024.
Read MoreRoofs are on the city’s list of work that needs a building permit, so a replacement here is permitted work.
Read MoreHomes in an HOA may also need the association’s approval, which is separate from the city permit. For an address outside city limits, we confirm the rules when you call.
We also work in the smaller communities and unincorporated areas between these towns. Call (469) 598-0899 with your address and we will confirm whether it is inside our area.
From 2021 through 2025, NOAA’s Storm Events Database logged these hail and wind reports for the three counties we serve:
| County | Hail reports | Days with hail | Hail 1.75 inches or larger | Largest hail | Thunderstorm wind reports |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Collin | 150 | 38 | 35 | 3.00 in, near Plano, April 20, 2023 | 60 |
| Denton | 234 | 49 | 59 | 5.90 in, near Sanger, June 15, 2023 | 86 |
| Grayson | 124 | 35 | 29 | 2.50 in, near Gunter, June 23, 2023 | 47 |
These are reports of where storms were seen, not a measure of how often hail hits a given street. A storm that crosses busy areas gets reported more often than one over open land.
Give us your address at (469) 598-0899. We confirm that you are in our area and which city or county rules apply.
We look at the roof, gutters, siding and windows, not just the shingles.
You get what we found, with photos. If you file an insurance claim, you can share them with your adjuster, though the claim itself stays between you and your insurer.
