All Around Texas Roofing repairs and replaces fences across Frisco, McKinney, Prosper, Celina, Anna, Melissa, Aubrey and the surrounding Collin and Denton County communities. Leaning posts, blown out panels, storm and tree damage, cedar and metal, with the city permit and the HOA approval handled rather than left with you.
Call (469) 598-0899 and we will walk the whole fence line with you, not just the section that came down.
Fencing usually sits under a different part of a homeowner’s policy from the house. Most policies separate the dwelling from other structures, and fences, detached garages and freestanding pergolas commonly fall into that second part, which carries its own limit expressed as a percentage of the dwelling limit. What that percentage is on your policy is on your declarations page, and it is worth knowing before you need it.
What matters practically is that fence damage from the same storm belongs on the same claim as the roof, against the same deductible. The most common way North Texas homeowners lose money after a hail event is by dealing with the roof in spring, noticing the fence in summer, and finding the claim was settled without it.
So we photograph the entire fence line on every storm inspection, panel by panel, including the sections behind the garage that nobody looks at. See insurance claim assistance.
pushing every post, not just the failed section.
so you know before quoting how visible a repair will be.
for your address, and the HOA specification if one applies.
with post replacement priced rather than assumed away.
including resetting posts in new concrete where footings have failed.
usually as a return visit once new cedar has dried.
A great many homeowners find out about both of these after the lumber has been delivered.
The city. Fence work is permitted in a number of the cities we serve, and the requirement genuinely differs. The City of Aubrey lists a fence permit application among its residential permits. The City of Gunter lists a residential fence permit of its own and requires contractors to register before working there. The City of Lowry Crossing names fences individually on its list of projects requiring a permit. Some jurisdictions require nothing for a like for like repair and everything for a new fence or a height change. We confirm for your address, and where a permit is needed, we pull it.
The HOA. Separately, most master planned neighborhoods here have an architectural committee with rules about height, material, picket profile, which way the finished face points, stain color and whether anything may be attached to the fence. An approved specification in one neighborhood is not approved in the next.
Get the HOA answer before material is ordered. Replacing a fence twice because the stain color was wrong is the most avoidable expense in this trade.
Panel repair when damage is confined to boards or a single panel, the rails are sound and the posts either side pass the push test.
Section replacement covers a run between sound posts, including resetting or replacing the posts at each end. This is the common storm repair: a wind event takes out a length, and the honest scope is that length plus the posts holding it.
Full replacement when posts are failing along the whole line, when the fence has become a patchwork of different wood ages, or when a storm has taken enough that the remaining sections are the older ones.
On materials: cedar is the default here and its weaknesses are at ground contact and at the fasteners. Wrought iron and tubular steel does not blow down, it bends, and it rusts from the inside of the tube outward where water got in at a cut end. Composite and vinyl resist rot entirely and are more brittle in cold weather, and panel matching is harder because colors and profiles get discontinued.
One cosmetic point people underestimate: new cedar is a different color from weathered cedar and stays that way for a long time. A repaired section on a visible elevation will announce itself until the new wood has aged, which is why fence staining across the whole run is worth discussing rather than assuming.
We push every post before quoting, so you are not paying for the same section twice.
Post replacement is priced, not assumed away, which is the difference between our quote and the cheap one.
We photograph the whole fence line on a storm inspection, including the runs nobody looks at.
City permit and HOA submission handled, not handed back to you.
We tell you how visible the repair will be before you decide.

4.9★ Rating from 1,235+ Texas Roofing Customers Almost always because the posts were not addressed. Panels are the visible damage and posts are the actual failure, particularly in the expansive clay across much of this area where seasonal swelling and shrinking works a post loose over years. A repair that replaces boards on a failing post buys you one storm.
Fencing commonly sits under the other structures part of a homeowner’s policy rather than the dwelling part, with its own limit set as a percentage of the dwelling limit. Whether your policy covers a given loss, and at what limit, is on your declarations page and is a question for your agent. What we make sure of is that the damage is documented as part of the same storm claim as the roof.
In several cities we serve, yes. Aubrey, Gunter and Lowry Crossing all publish fence permit requirements, and Gunter also requires contractors to register with the city. Other jurisdictions treat a like for like repair differently from a new fence or a height change. We confirm what applies to your address before the work starts.
If it sits on the line and serves both properties, it is a shared arrangement in practice and the cost is a conversation between the two households. If it is set inside one property line, it belongs to that property. Your survey settles which. Where both households are claiming, each deals with its own carrier, and we will give you both the same photographs.
Usually in cedar, since the lumber is standard even though the color will not match until the new wood has weathered. Metal and composite are harder, because profiles and colors get discontinued. We identify what you have before quoting and tell you honestly how visible the repair will be.
A section is often a day. A full replacement on a standard residential lot is usually a small number of days, and concrete footings need time to cure before panels load them. Wet ground slows everything, because setting posts in saturated clay produces a fence that moves later.
Staining protects the wood and, on a repair, it is the main tool for making new cedar read as part of the existing fence rather than as a patch. New cedar should be allowed to dry out before it is stained, so it is usually a return visit rather than same day work.
Yes, where the neighborhood requires architectural approval. It is worth doing properly, because the committee’s specification governs material, height, picket profile, which way the finished face points and the stain color.
Yes, and on a storm claim it is the right way round. One storm, one claim, one deductible, one contractor sequencing the work and one set of photographs behind all of it.
If a front has been through, the fence tells you a great deal about what the rest of the property took.
